Chia Seeds And Blueberry Smoothie
1 tablespoon chia seeds, 2 tablespoons water, 1/4 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup dairy-free yogurt (I’ve used soy yogurt, almond yogurt and coconut yogurt), 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 4 small strawberries – washed and hulled.
In a small bowl, mix the chia seeds and water. Allow to sit for about 10 minutes for the chia seeds to start to soften and gel, Blend everything together in a blender. Serve immediately.
Chocolate Chia Pudding
1/4 cup cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 cup coconut milk carton refrigerated kind, 1/3 cup chia seeds.
Sift cocoa powder into a medium deep mixing bowl. Add maple syrup, vanilla extract and pinch of salt. Whisk to combine until smooth, add the coconut milk on top and whisk to combine. Pour the chia seeds on top of the mixture and whisk to combine one more time, Cover and refrigerate until the mixture thickens, and becomes pudding like, at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, Enjoy with fresh coconut whip cream and berries, if desired.
Chia Detox Water
12 Oz water, 1 Tablespoon Chia seeds, 1 lime juice Juice from 1 lime, 1/4 Teaspoon agave nectar.
Fill a glass jar with a lid with drinking water, Add chia seeds to water. Place lid on the jar and shake well. Let sit for 10 minutes, Add juice from 1 lime and 1/4 teaspoon agave nectar. Shake again and drink
